ReplyDelete1.) "Aggressive actions lose hundreds of NJ workers possible sandy clean up jobs " Written by Tomas Dinges. Written on November 12 ,2012.
2.)I didn't have any trouble with the vocabulary that was given . I understood this article without any difficulties.
3.)"Aggressive actions lose hundreds of NJ workers possible sandy clean up jobs " is about people here in Newark that had lost their part time jobs, About 400 people lost their jobs, The reason for this is because of the hurricane that happened recently "Sandy". An agency from Idaho guaranteed jobs on Tuesday and is available for several months. Unfortunetelly it was canceled by command center Inc. due to the clean up. Therefore more people had lost their jobs.The reason why its aggressive is because people don't have jobs and their struggling looking for them.
4.)I believe that the main reason for Tomas Dinges wrote this piece was to inform us that there are people who got affected but the storm.There are a lot of people who have lost their jobs.
5.)In my opinion , this piece is devastating because over a hundred people lost their jobs.The cause of that was because of the big storm. It will take awhile until they all get jobs again.

1.) "Man dies in shooting at Newark gas station convenience store" Written by Tomas Dinges. Written on November 10 , 2012 .
2.)The only vocabulary word i had trouble with was assailant.I resolved it by figuring out the definition of the word.
3.)Inside a gas station convenience store a man was found dead. There was a shooting there. A man named Johnson said he was targeted by them.He was shot several times and was actually dead 25 minutes later at the University Hospital.This was downtown Newark.
4.)I believe the author wrote this to tell us that there was a shooting at the gas station and the one who was shooting didn't get caught. To tell us to watch out.
5.)I think that no matter were you are downtown Newark or out of Newark you should watch out and be careful.

ReplyDelete2. The vocabulary word thati encounter some defreeof difficulty is jeopardized. Yes, i resolved the lack of understanding with the word by using context clues. The meaning of the word is to be in danger.
3. Presindet Barrack Obama has not seen evidence of a negative impact of the nacional segurity in the U.S. He told the reporter last week. Petraeus went to meet privately to president Barrack Obama were he offered to resign. Obama sent FBI to investigate him. He tought that the FBI had done a great job. Obama said that they don't have all the informatin yet.
4. The main point the author wanted us to get from reading his work is that there is still no evidence that the U.S nacional security was in danger in the unfolding scandal between disgraced former.
5. I think of these piece of article that is informative. It informs the reader about what going on with our president, Barrack Obama.

Hurricane Sandy: New York City Subways Hit with Worst Disaster in 108 Years. Written by-Fox 5 Published by- October 30, 2012.
2. I didn't have any probems with any vocabulary words.
3.The New York tunnels were all flooded. Everything was to remain close on Tuesday. Hurricane sandy broke many power lines, trees and flooded may tunnels. Chairmen said that he had never seen this before in 108 years. 10 subways tinnels were under water in Manhatan and Broklyn. He said, "Our employees have shown remarkable dedication over the past few days, and I thank them on behalf of every New Yorker. In 108 years, our employees have never faced a challenge like the one that confronts us now. All of us at the MTA are committed to restoring the system as quickly as we can to help bring New York back to normal." All the worker are working really hard to bring Manhatan and the other places that were hit by hurricane sandy to bring back to normal.
4.The main point the author wanted us to get from reading this article is that hurrica sandy damage many places. It was the worst disaster in 108 years. The worker are working really hard to bring everything back to normal.
5. I think about this pieces that is informatives. Many thing that I read I didn't know like that it was the worst disaster in 108 years. Also is devastating because many people lost their homes, family, and jobs. it will take a long time to bring everything back to normal.

ReplyDelete1) The article is called "3 Ways Smart Business People Will Profit Under Obama" written by Gene Marks and published November 14, 2012.
2) Honestly, no I had no problem in any of the grammer or words written in the article, I understood the meaning of each one.
3) The piece I just read explains how it was a tuff election and it was a close one between Obama and Romney and how a lot of people freaked out because they thought a new president was about to arrive yet Obama won and Gene Marks didnt vote for him but to him Obama has its good parts and he just explains that the people that voted for Romney should appricaite and accept that Obama is the President and shouldnt be mad. It also explain how to be smart with you finaces and money so some people wont be tight on money or difficult for them to get money, there are some strategies on how to be wise with money like my dad always says.
4)The main point I believe the author wanted readers to get out of this was to just restart a new 4 years and just be wise and smart with you money so later on we dont have to complain and blame it on the government or President.
5)I believe this piece is very educational and a lot of people can learn something from this and take wise advice and use it everyday. I mean Gene didnt write this article for no reason he wanted people like me to write about it or actually learn strategies and what you can do.

1) The article I read was "On Staten Island, Relentless Bullying Is Blamed for a Teenage Girl’s Suicide" written by Robert Stolarik and published on October 25, 2012.
2) No I didnt have any difficulties on reading the article I understood everything clearly.
3)The piece I read is about a 16 year old girl that committed suicide due to massive bullying, she posted on facebook that "she couldnt take it anymore" many family and friends were worried and her friend said she was at the train station eger for the train to come as she hurled herself backwards on the tracks her friend grabbed her arm but she broke loose, she was announced dead that night. Then it talks about how friends, family , and neighbors gathered and prayed in memorie of her. Towards the end it explains how bullying can cause heart ache and damage to a lot of people it can even go as far as this.
4)The main point of this article was for people to wake up and see that a poor innocent girl killed herself due to bullying and now her family has to suffer of something someone did. It's to show readers "look, this has been taken far, imagine someone you know and loved did this." It's to mainly wake up those bullies out there and show them what they are doing isnt funny and it has to stop because rather be a little thing or a big thing word hurt and can cut deep.
5) I think this piece is very sad and it just reminds me like "my gosh this is real" people dont care. It shows that ruff times are going to come and people will say things but its your job to be strong and too overcome it. After reading this it just makes me imagine what if it was someone I knew or loved, what would you do?I dont really know how to explain it but it makes me feel like people like that should learn a big lesson not just some little punishment.

This article is stating and explain what happened in JERUSALEM how a Violent protests broke out in Jordan on Tuesday when the government declared an increase in fuel prices. A huge riots broke up due to this new law, many people according to this article lost a lot after sandy and increasing gas when many people are still out of power is asperse its ridiculous. People ripped tires set many things on fire and damaged many properties to get their point across. The people will soon control my making a riot the government.
I believe this article represents how our government is going down hill and how attention needs to be brought to many issues. Example many governments have been taken over by people because protests can lead people to new politic opportunities. This article demonstrates how much power a community has when reunited with others you have the power to change people view opinions and laws, I believe this article gives a people a piece of mind and confidence.

I believe this article brings up the celebrities popularity according to star-leger this is in the top 25 most read articles and Bieber’s CD s have been sold more then ever since there recent brakeup. According to star Justin Bieber his fans believe they all have a chance at being his girl which they do and clearly he will gain more money.
